Lenovo IdeaPad U110B, U110R

The Lenovo IdeaPad U110 11.1-inch ultraportable notebook is coming soon to the United States, according to product pages at J&R.

The 2.3-pound IdeaPad U110 will be available at J&R in at least two versions – the black U110B and the U110R with a red top cover. The both models feature the Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 low-voltage processor at 1.6GHz, 3GB of RAM, and a 120GB hard drive. The laptop, which is only 0.7-inch high, does not include a built-in optical drive.

According to an earlier report at NotebookReview, the U100 includes the Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics, a 1.3-megapixel web camera, Ethernet LAN, Intel 4965AGN wireless, and Bluetooth connections, and a battery life of up to 8 hours. The notebook’s 11.1″ glossy widescreen display has a resolution of 1366-by-768 pixels.

Published images show the IdeaPad ultraportable sports at least three USB ports, a VGA output, Firewire port, 6-in-1 media card reader, PC Card or ExpressCard slot, and Windows Vista operating system.

Lenovo’s U110 (U110B, U110R) is also equipped with a Shuttle Key, touch-sensitive media controls, Dolby Home Theater Sound and Active Protection System, an air bag-like device that parks the hard drive to help protect data during a fall.

The IdeaPad U110B and U110R are priced at $1,999 at J&R
